Response of Staphylococcus aureus SA0413Rev to combination of virulent bacteriophage vB_SauM-515A1 and linezolid

Combined use of lytic bacteriophages with antibiotics in subinhibitory concentrations is currently considered as one of the options for improving the efficacy of therapy of infectious diseases, including those caused by Staphylococcus aureus. In the present work, a comprehensive study of the combined effect of subinhibitory concentrations of bacteriophage vB_SauM-515A1 (family Herelleviridae) and the first-line drug linezolid against methicillin-resistant strain SA0413Rev was conducted.
