Code and datasets for Figure 3 – Key development and well-being indicators in the Karamoja cluster (Bargués-Tobella et al. 2026, Ambio)

This repository contains the data and R code used to produce Figure 3 in Bargués Tobella et al. (2026), <i>Social-ecological transformations towards sustainability in drylands: a conceptual framework with examples from the Karamoja cluster in East Africa</i>, Ambio. Figure 3 compares key development and well-being indicators in the Karamoja cluster areas of Kenya and Uganda with the respective national averages.The repository includes:R Markdown file (Code_Figure3.Rmd) containing the full code to generate the figure;Two CSV datasets (Data_KE.csv and Data_UG.csv) with the data used to produce the plots (corresponding to Tables 1 and 2 in the Supplementary Materials);README.txt with instructions on how to run the code and reproduce the figure.The datasets compile national survey data from Kenya and Uganda (2014–2023), with references to the original data sources indicated in the CSV files.<br>
