Together connecting ecological communities across the ACT region

Practical conservation activities to support a diverse portfolio of community focused environmental projects across the ACT region will benefit from and reward Green Army Participants. With input from six local organisations experienced in conservation work, the Green Army Team will be engaged at sites on public and private land for the purposes of linking, buffering and enhancing ecological communities. A mix of physical on-ground learning activities such as seed collection, plant propagation, water testing, erosion prevention, revegetation for habitat restoration and weed control will develop practical skills. Involvement in community group events will present opportunities to engage with the wider community developing social skills and confidence.
