n situ optical microscopy of snow and ice layers at the surface and at 5, 10, 15 and 20 cm below the surface at 4 locations on Hurd Peninsula. The locations are:
1. -62.654639 S, -60.317028 W, ; 2. -62.657118 S, -60.334186 W; 3. -62.67694 S, -60.34508 W; 5. -62.672194 S, -60.376667 W.
Sites were sampled on the following dates:
March 4: sites 1, 2, 3 and 5.
March 5: sites 1, 2, 3 and 5.
March 6: sites 3 and 5.
March 7: sites 1, 2, 3 and 5.
March 8: sites 1, 2, 3 and 5.
March 9: sites 3 and 5.
March 11: sites 3 and 5.
March 12: sites 1, 2, 3 and 5.
March 13: sites 3 and 5.
March 14: sites 3 and 5.
March 15: sites 1 and 2.
March 18: sites 1 and 2.
