资源简介:
Recent observations have revealed the presence of uranium in twoultrametalpoor halo stars. Qian & Wasserburg (2001) speculate thaturanium requires the stars to have been, at one time, members ofa binary system in which the more massive component detonated ina supernova explosion, peppering the stillevolving companions withrprocessed material. Assuming the binaries survived the explosion, they should contain Xray emitting compact stars. XMMNewton observationswill test this scenario. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
