资源简介:
Photograph of a view of Hill Street between Third Street and Fourth Street, showing a streetcar, ca.1930-1939. The paved lanes of Hill Street run from the right foreground toward the left background. Automobiles are parked along each side of the street, while others drive down it. A streetcard labeled "Hill St. and Venice Blvd" sits on its tracks at the right of the image, bearing a sign on its rear that reads "Vineyard" and lettering along its side that reads "Electric". Pedestrians walk along the paved sidewalk at the left side of the image. Commercial buildings sit along each side of the street. A building at the left bears a sign reading "[D]rugs", while across the street an onion-domed building reads "Hotel". The "Hotel Sherman" sits at the right centerground, behind the streetcar; lettering below its upper left bay window reads "[D]entist".
