Census of Service Industries, 1977: Geographic Area Series

<p>This data collection contains summary statistics for selected service industry establishments. File SA1 shows number of establishments, amount of receipts, type of ownership, annual and first quarter payroll, and number of paid employees as of March 12 1977. Files SA2 and SA3 have comparative information on number of establishments, receipts, and payroll, as well as percent change between 1972 and 1977. Similar information for 1977, with additional data on employees and payroll, is available in File SA4 for SMSAs. File SA5 provides the same information as File SA1 plus additional data concerning number of and receipts for five kind-of-business groups. File SA6 provides the same data arranged in alphabetical order by city name within State. File SA7 contains receipts data for counties and File SA8 contains data on receipts for cities.</p>
