6-hourly tropical cyclone tracks simulated by GFDLCM4C192 used in Chang et al. 2025 - Journal of Climate

This dataset includes 6-hourly tropical cyclone (TC) tracks simulated by uncoupled (GFDLCM4C192_highresSST-present_TC_tracks.zip) and coupled (GFDLCM4C192_hist-1950_TC_tracks.zip) GFDLCM4C192 historical runs used in the paper entitled: "Future Projection of Tropical Upper Tropospheric Troughs and Implications for Tropical Cyclone Activity" submitted to Journal of Climate in 2025. The purpose of the TC tracks is to assess whether the GFDL-CM4 HighResMIP model can reproduce the observed relationship between tropical cyclones and tropical upper-tropospheric troughs (TUTTs) on the interannual timescale.
