The Greenland Ice Sheet Extent Product continuously and dynamically captures changes in ice sheet extent, serving as a foundational data resource for studies on Greenland ice sheet mass balance, freeze-thaw processes, energy balance, and other relevant research. This data product is an achievement of the subject "Development of Remote Sensing Retrieval Algorithms and Products for Key Cryospheric Parameters and Ocean Salinity" (Grant No. 2018YFA0605403) under the National Key Research and Development Program of China titled "Stereoscopic Observation and Remote Sensing Retrieval of Key Parameters of Global Energy and Water Cycles". It presents dekad-scale ice sheet extent changes across the full coverage of the Greenland Ice Sheet, and reveals the seasonal variability of the Greenland Ice Sheet under global warming.
