Methodology files for: Chapters 3 & 4 of "A quantitative approach to the right to education: Concept, measurement, and effects"

This archive contains the underlying data that is used to create the Right to Education dataset. The collection process roughly went as follows:
First, the researcher and research assistants collected information on the legal protection of the right to education for countries in the sample (there is a full list at the end of the ReadMe). This information was analysed according to a coding guide and scored accordingly. The relevant excerpts from the sources and the legal analysis can be found in each country-pdf file. These files also contain a list of sources consulted, including (where applicable) URLs.
Second, the legal analysis was converted into numerical scores and stored in a machine-readable format (xlsx for the dissertation, csv in this archive).
