Check list Parco colline Lupi et al.

A study finalised to create a first check list of the insects settled in different areas of a park called “Parco delle Colline” in Brescia Province (Northern Italy) ranging from 190 to 960 meters above sea level. It included the part of the park localized in the municipality of Brescia, and in two of the other four municipalities in the park. This area is a Local Park of Supra-municipal Interest (P.L.I.S.), which is a form of protection established by the Lombardy Region that allows municipalities to identify and safeguard areas of environmental and naturalistic significance. The check list study was executed with different methodologies from 2010 to 2013. A total of 409 species have been detected throughout the monitoring period. Considering the  methods, pitfall traps covered the 75.9% of captures, followed by light traps (10.9%), visual sampling (5.8%) and the others (7.4%)
