Clavulanic acid (CA) production is controlled by a complex regulatory network in which sRNAs play acentral role, regulating multiple mRNA targets. Non-coding RNA expression is triggered torespond rapidly to variations in environmental and culture conditions. Identifying non-coding RNAs specific to S. clavuligerus will significantly contribute to understanding CAbiosynthesis and pave the way for proposing appropriate bioprocessing strategies and/orgenetic modifications that might boost productivity.
