Hive Monitoring (Apis mellifera and Stingless Bees) and Rainfall Data - Federal University of Ceará (UFC) Apiary - Brazil

General Description This dataset contains environmental and biometric monitoring records of beehives maintained at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) apiary. The objective of this data collection is to evaluate the internal conditions (temperature, humidity, and weight) of two categories of bees: Apis mellifera (Africanized honeybees) and Meliponini (stingless bees). To complement the study on the climatic influence on hive development, the repository also includes regional rainfall (precipitation) data collected across different timeframes. Dataset Content The dataset consists of 5 CSV files, categorized into internal hive monitoring and external rainfall data: 1. Stingless Bees (Meliponini) Monitoring DadosMeliponas.csv: Temperature, humidity, and weight data from stingless bee hives collected between September 2025 and March 2026 (34,881 records). 2. Apis mellifera Monitoring dadosColmeia1Apis.csv: Biometric and climatic data from hive 1. Data collected between February and March 2025 (3,116 records). dadosColmeia2Apis.csv: Biometric and climatic data from hive 2. Data collected between December 2024 and February 2025 (7,066 records). 3. Rainfall (Precipitation) Data Dados Pluviométricos (jan25-mai25).csv: Rainfall records from the study's coverage area, spanning from January to May 2025 (151 records). Dados Pluviométricos Set25-Mar26.csv: Rainfall records from the coverage area, spanning from September 2025 to April 2026 (232 records). Data Dictionary (Variables) For the Hive files (DadosMeliponas, dadosColmeia1Apis, dadosColmeia2Apis): time: Date and time of data collection (Timestamp). id: Unique identifier of the record in the database. id_sensor: Numeric identifier of the sensor or monitored hive. temperature: Internal hive temperature (°C). humidity: Internal hive relative humidity (%). weight: Current measured hive weight (kg). ext_temperature: External ambient temperature (°C). ext_humidity: External ambient relative humidity (%). voltage: Sensor system/battery operating voltage (Volts) - Present only in the Stingless Bees (Meliponas) data. For the Rainfall files: id: Unique identifier of the record in the station's system. valor: Recorded rainfall volume (millimeters - mm). data: Date of measurement (YYYY-MM-DD). posto: Collection station identifier.
