VPRS 5393 Index to Ex Parte Papers

This series consists of the index to Ex Parte Applications as made in the Supreme Court of Victoria. (Documentation for these applications are to be found, using the numbers recorded in this index, in VPRS 277.)Details given are the matter to which the application related (usually the name of an individual) , the ex parte applicant and the number assigned to the application. For a number of applications an annotation indicates the type of application involved. No other information is recorded.Ex Parte Applications are made either by:- a person who is not a party to the proceeding but has an interest in the matter which entitles that person to make an application;- by one party to a proceeding in the absence of the other.These applications may cover a wide range of matters to do with the hearing of a case, matters relating to disputed costs between a solicitor and a client and enquiries into the conduct of solicitors by the Law Institute and certain applications relating to the examination of witnesses under the Evidence Act and applications to do with the Land Compensation Act, the Transfer of Land Act and the Water Act.
