资源简介:
Fusarium graminearum is the causal agent of head blight disease on wheat and barley. Here we present a high-quality ‘completed’ genome sequence of the PH-1 strain, given the designation Rothamsted Research (RR). This was achieved by combining the BROAD Sanger sequenced draft, with the manual gene predictions done by Munich Information Services for Protein Sequences (MIPS), with whole shotgun re-sequencing done by TGAC. In addition to replacing unknown sequences, the RR version has: identified a miss-assembly in chromosome 1 at the 5’ end, and extended the AT rich regions which include the identification for the first time of telomere and centromere sequences. This has increased the genomic sequence by 484,290 bp, not including the ribosome repeat binding motif at the 3' end of chromosome 4. Four previously unplaced Supercontigs have been matched within the RR version or within the mitochrondrial sequence. The remaining Supercontigs have been identified as repeat sequences, with all but one matched in part to the repeat sequence at the 3’ end of chromosome 4. In addition, a revised corrected mitochondrial sequence has been produced.
