A nationwide price survey of the cost of one bag of pet food (for dogs) resulted in an average price of 2,136 yen in October 2024. Over the period from January 2015 to October 2024 (a span of 118 months), the month with the highest price for pet food (for dogs) across all supermarkets was September 2024, at 2,147 yen, while the month with the lowest price was July 2017, at 1,603 yen. The price difference between the peak price period (September 2024) and the lowest price period (July 2017) for pet food (for dogs) across the national area is 543.7659 yen.
