L1 Retrotransposition in Tissues of Rett Patients and Healthy Individuals. Homo sapiens

We used HAT-seq bulk sequencing to perform genome-wide L1Hs insertion profiling of 20 postmortem tissues from five patients with Rett syndrome and their matched healthy controls. The aims of this study were to explore the genomic pattern of somatic L1Hs insertions in neuronal and non-neuronal samples, and to investigate whether the dysfunction of MECP2 can alter the distribution of L1Hs retrotransposition in Rett patients.
