CONTEMPORARY LINGUOPRAGMATICS: THEORETICAL PRINCIPLES AND METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES
收藏资源简介:
Contemporary linguistics increasingly focuses on language not only as a structural system but also as a means of communication shaped by speakers’ intentions, contextual conditions, social relations, and cultural conventions. Within this framework, linguopragmatics has developed as an interdisciplinary field concerned with the relationship between linguistic forms and their communicative functions in particular contexts. The present study aims to systematize the major theoretical principles of contemporary linguopragmatics and examine methodological approaches employed in pragmatic research. The study applies qualitative literature analysis, comparative analysis, conceptual synthesis, and descriptive methods to contemporary research in pragmatics and discourse studies. The findings demonstrate that modern linguopragmatic research is based on several interconnected principles, including intentionality, contextuality, inferential meaning, speech action, interaction, deixis, presupposition, implicature, and interpersonal relations. The analysis also identifies contextual, discourse-analytical, corpus-based, comparative-pragmatic, and multimodal approaches as important methodological directions. It is argued that contemporary linguopragmatics is moving from the analysis of isolated utterances toward integrated investigations of language use within social, cultural, cognitive, and digital environments. The study concludes that combining qualitative and quantitative methods provides a more comprehensive framework for examining pragmatic meaning and communicative behaviour.
