In this study, 10x Chromium technology was applied to quantify transcripts from single-cell nuclei of adult male and female brain of Aedes aegypti, a medically important mosquito vector that transmits yellow fever, dengue, chikungunya, and Zika viruses to humans. Overall design: Single nuclei from male and female mosquitoes were used for 10x single cell 3' RNA-seq libraries, and the libraries were sequenced (20,000 per nucleus, paired-end single indexing reads) by Novaseq 6000.
