LEXICAL-SEMANTIC FIELD OF "MILK/SUT" IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF CORE AND PERIPHERAL UNITS

This article explores the lexical-semantic field of the concept “milk/sut” in English and Uzbek languages within the framework of cognitive and comparative linguistics. The study aims to identify nuclear and peripheral elements of the semantic field and analyze their structural, semantic, and linguocultural characteristics. The research demonstrates that while the core unit shows universal features related to human biological experience, peripheral elements reflect language-specific cultural and cognitive patterns. The findings confirm that lexical-semantic fields represent dynamic and structured systems that reveal the interaction between language, thought, and culture.
