Description: Project to determine the nutrient composition and related pre-approved claims for peanut butter made from New Zealand-grown peanuts.
New Zealand grown peanuts were supplied for nutritional composition and formulation analysis. These will be assessed against Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) standards to determine permissible nutrient content claims. In turn, the projet will support Pic's to grow their understanding of nutrition and health claim regulations as well as the wider lablelling requirements, and how these can be applied in their marketing strategies.
