A group portrait of Japanese Americans at the beach, Los Angeles, circa 1910. A large group of Japanese Americans gathered at the beach. Some are sitting directly on the beach and others stand behind. It is a mixed group of adults, children, some wearing bathing suits but most in ties, dress shirts and dresses. One man, sitting close to the center, holds a camera in his hands. The background is a hillside next to the beach. The photograph has been adhered to a black album page with photo corners. There is some damage to the photograph, creasing at the corners, minor tearing and surface soiling.
