Manually (Verlauf-software) and automatically analyzed (PollyNET Processing Chain) lidar profiles from the CADEX campaign (2015–2016)

This dataset contains manually (Verlauf-software) and automatically analyzed (PollyNET Processing Chain version 4.0; Klamt et al., Zenodo, 2024) lidar profiles of aerosol optical properties measured during the CADEX (Central Asian Dust Experiment 2015–2016; Hofer et al., ACP, 2017, 2020a,b) with a PollyXT multiwavelength polarization Raman lidar (Engelmann et al., AMT, 2016; Baars et al., ACP, 2016). The zipped manually analyzed profiles are provided in monthly folders in 3 and 99 bins vertical smoothing, including Verlauf-software info-files containing retrieval parameters. The zipped automatically analyzed profiles are provided in a YYYY/MM/DD folder structure. The Excel files contain daily meta data such as layer-mean values and cut-off heights.
