Dry rot disease poses one of the most severe threats to the current Chinese hickory industry.Through high-throughput transcriptome sequencing, we analyzed the changes in gene expression patterns in both the pathogen and the host, revealing several key genes associated with non-structural sugar synthesis metabolism and plant-pathogen interactions, including genes encoding DUF, Myb_DNA-binding, and ABC transmembrane proteins.
