HNSCC mutations in a South Asian population

The study goal was to identify somatic mutations in head and neck cancers in a South Asian population.Head and neck cancers are the sixth most common cancer type globally. In Pakistan, a developing country in South Asia, they are the most commonly diagnosed cancer in males and the second most common in females. The population has a unique set of risk factors and a better mechanistic understanding of the disease in the population can ultimately contribute to identification of new, rational therapeutic targets.
