Practitioner Perspectives on Psychological Safety in Software Workplaces: A Grey Literature Study
收藏资源简介:
This replication package supports a qualitative study exploring psychological safety in software engineering, based on grey literature sources. The data were collected from two Stack Exchange communities, Software Engineering Stack Exchange (SESWE) and Project Management Stack Exchange (SEPM), which capture practitioner perspectives on real-world software development experiences. The study addresses four research questions: RQ1: What interpersonal challenges related to psychological safety are discussed? RQ2: What contextual factors influence psychological safety? RQ3: How are these factors situated within the software development context? RQ4: What strategies are suggested to improve psychological safety? This repository includes: Raw datasets retrieved from SESWE and SEPM via automated queries (QueryResultsSESWE and QueryResultsSEPM). A structured data extraction and coding spreadsheet with qualitative annotations (DatasetPS). The complete codebook used in the analysis, including category definitions and examples (Codebook_PS). A detailed replication protocol outlining the methodological procedures (Data_Extraction_Protocol) The materials are intended to promote transparency, replicability, and reuse by other researchers interested in psychological safety, qualitative methods, and grey literature in software engineering.
