TAP CARE GP study: trauma-informed transformation in general practice

This qualitative study aimed to answer two questions: (1) To what extent do existing organisation policies, processes and practices align with the principles of a trauma-informed approach – safety, choice, trust, collaboration, empowerment? (2) What are the organisational and wider system factors that can support or constrain the implementation of trauma-informed approaches in general practice?
The dataset includes sociodemographic characteristics and transcripts of semi-structured interviews with 21 healthcare providers and 22 patients recruited from 4 general practices in southwest England, UK.
