Structural Regime Shifts and Diurnal Asymmetry in Mediterranean Urban Warming Across Coastal Cities (1990–2020)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the observational data, processing scripts, and derived results used in the study: “Structural Regime Shifts and Diurnal Asymmetry in Mediterranean Urban Warming Across Coastal Cities (1990–2020)”. The dataset includes quality-controlled daily minimum (Tmin) and maximum (Tmax) temperature observations for twelve Mediterranean coastal cities spanning the period 1990–2020. Data were obtained primarily from the NOAA Integrated Surface Database (ISD) and processed to ensure consistency, removal of duplicates, and physical plausibility (e.g., Tmax ≥ Tmin). The repository also contains Python scripts used to perform statistical analyses, including: Mann–Kendall trend tests with trend-free prewhitening (TFPW) Sen’s slope estimation ETCCDI extreme temperature indices (TX90p, TN90p) Diurnal Asymmetry Index (DAI) calculations Pettitt test for structural break detection Monte Carlo simulations for breakpoint synchronization analysis Derived outputs include figures, tables, and intermediate datasets supporting the results presented in the manuscript. This dataset is provided to ensure full transparency and reproducibility of the analysis. All scripts are organized according to a structured workflow and can be executed using standard Python libraries. Corresponding author: Renalda El-Samra
