Planorbarius corneus, Radix swinhoei Genome sequencing

Mitochondrial (mt) genome sequences are widely used for species identification and to study the phylogenetic relationships among Gastropoda. However, limited data on taxon sampling is available for Gastropoda, till date. In this study we sequenced the complete mt genomes of Radix swinhoei and Planorbarius corneus belonging to Gastropoda. Based on the sequences, we investigated the gene rearrangement of these two species with others Gastropoda and the phylogenetic relationships with respect to the ancestral gene order and their phylogenetic relationships.
