METHODS FOR DEVELOPING THINKING THROUGH PROBLEM SOLVING IN ELEMENTARY GRADES

This article discusses the importance of solving mathematical problems in developing the thinking skills of primary school students. It analyzes methods for forming logical thinking, analytical skills, comparison, generalization, and independent decision-making through problem-solving activities. The effectiveness of modern pedagogical methods and innovative approaches used in lessons is also examined. The article provides recommendations for improving students’ cognitive activity and developing their thinking abilities in primary education.
