Turbulence measurements collected during the Submesoscale Processes and Lagrangian Analysis on the Shelf (SPLASH) onboard the R/V F.G. Walton Smith cruise WS17107 in the Gulf of Mexico from 2017-04-19 to 2017-04-25

This dataset reports turbulence measurements. Microstructure measurements were taken to quantify turbulence near the drifter deployments of the Submesoscale Processes and Lagrangian Analysis on the Shelf (SPLASH) experiment on board the R/V F.G. Walton Smith cruise WS17107 in the northern Gulf of Mexico from 2017-04-19 to 2017-04-25. The data were collected using a VMP (Vertical Microstructure Profiler) instrument.
