Latin America: cross-border investment in clean energy 2019, by origin

France was the leading foreign investor in clean energy in Latin America in 2019, with a value of around three billion U.S. dollars. Spain and the U.S. were also important investors in the region, with investments of 2.35 and 1.8 billion dollars, respectively. Meanwhile, Chile was the leading recipient country of foreign clean energy investments in Latin America that year.
