Pre\/Post-Lab Self Assessment - Induction Machine Module 2

This supplementary dataset contains the raw self-assessment responses from 45 students (22 Engineering Technology, 23 Conventional Engineering) who participated in the Module 2 pilot study. The dataset includes pre-intervention and post-intervention responses to a validated 16-item competency scale across three domains: Theoretical Understanding (6 items), Practical Skills (6 items), and Safety Procedures (4 items). All responses were collected using 5-point Likert scales administered through the university's learning management system. The data supports the findings reported in the main manuscript, demonstrating substantial competency improvements from pre-assessment (M=3.20, SD=0.85) to post-assessment (M=4.09, SD=0.77) with large effect sizes across all domains. Individual student responses are anonymized and coded by program type to enable replication analyses and meta-analytic studies. The dataset also includes demographic information (age, gender, program type) and completion timestamps. Statistical analysis scripts used in the main study are provided for reproducibility. This data contributes to the growing body of evidence on CDIO effectiveness in electrical machine education and enables secondary analyses by other researchers investigating modular approaches in engineering education.
