Four DNA molecules (S1–S4) were selected for this study [28]–[30]. An amino linker (Am) was added to 5′ end of sequences 1, 2, 3 and 7. Biacore T200 was used for analysis of binding between HMGB1 (coated on the chip) and DNA S1 and S2 (0–10 µM, Methods). HMGB1 binds in a similar manner to both S1 and S2, in an HMGB1 concentration-dependent manner and with high affinity (Kd = 5 nM). Data are representative of two repeats.
