Data for “Releasing the Compound Potential of Abandoned Cropland through Recultivation, Afforestation, and Photovoltaic Solutions”

This dataset comprises a map of China’s abandoned land and corresponding observed sample points. The abandoned land map was generated by integrating the China Annual Cropland Dataset (CACD) with global annual impervious surface and water body datasets. Observed sample points, provided as a shapefile, were used to validate the accuracy of the abandoned land classification, encompassing both abandoned (class 1) and non-abandoned (class 2) areas.
