Tree occurrences in 50 x 50 m vegetation plots in Pakke Tiger Reserve, Arunachal Pradesh, India (1997-2000)

This dataset documents trees enumerated in 21 fixed vegetation plots (50 x 50 m, i.e. 0.25 ha each) laid out across eight rainforest patches in Pakke Tiger Reserve, East Kameng district, Arunachal Pradesh, India, in the foothills of the Eastern Himalaya. Fieldwork was carried out between 1997 and 2000. Within each plot, woody stems that are at least 30cm in girth, were recorded, identified, and measured for girth at breast height (GBH). The dataset comprises 1,913 tree records across the 21 plots: 1,484 are identified to species, 365 to genus, 3 to family and 61 to class. The 141 distinct field names resolve to 111 accepted species, plus further taxa determined only to genus, family or class.
