资源简介:
This dataset comprises experimental measurements from a pilot-scale study investigating the abatement of micropollutants during ozonation in drinking water treatment. The data were collected over a one-year period (2007) at the Louisville Water Company (LWC) pilot plant, which simulates full-scale water treatment processes. The study focuses on ozone-based degradation of micropollutants under varying water quality conditions and operational parameters.Key ParametersThe dataset includes the following variables, categorized into water quality parameters and ozonation process parameters:1. Water Quality ParameterspH: Measured electrometrically (range: 6.62–8.76).Temperature (Temp): Recorded in °C (range: 12.5–29.3).Alkalinity (Alk): Measured as mg/L CaCO₃ (range: 49–104).UV254: Ultraviolet absorbance at 254 nm (range: 0.025–0.110 cm⁻¹).Inorganic Carbon (IC): Derived from pH and alkalinity (range: 63.9–101.2 mg/L as CaCO₃).2. Ozonation Process ParametersOzone Dose (O₃): Applied ozone concentration in mg/L (range: 0.5–8.0).Initial Ozone Demand (IOD): Calculated as the difference between applied and residual ozone (range: 0.41–2.68 mg/L).Ozone Decay Rate (*k*): First-order decay rate in min⁻¹ (range: 0.019–0.288).Ozone Exposure (CT): Product of residual ozone concentration and contact time (range: 3.89–33.52 min·mg/L).Experimental SetupPilot Plant: Two parallel treatment trains with modules for coagulation, sedimentation, softening, filtration, and ozonation.Ozone Addition Points: Three locations tested—raw water, settled water, and filter influent—to assess water matrix effects.Source Water: Ohio River water, characterized by seasonal variations in temperature, DOC (2.5–3.5 mg/L), and UV254 absorbance.Data ApplicationsThis dataset is valuable for:Modeling Ozone Kinetics: Correlate CT values with micropollutant degradation.Process Optimization: Evaluate ozone dosing strategies under varying water qualities.Comparative Studies: Benchmark performance across different treatment stages (raw vs. settled water).
