The main goal of the study is to sequence the whole genomic sequence of the halophilic strain Salinivibrio costicola M318 isolated from fermented shrimp paste. By mining the genomic sequences (in cluding chromosal DNA and plasmids) revealed the biosynthetic pathways of PHA and ectoines, which are the most interested characteristics of this bacterium. Besides, mining genomic data also found the biosynthetic pathways of secondary metabolites and other phenotypic features of the bacterium
