Structured deformation in granular materials

The dataset contains two datasheets containing the data necessary to reproduce Figures 9 and 10, as presented in the publication 'Structured deformation of granular material in the state of active earth pressure'. They represent 2D displacement scatter plots (Fig. 9) and the evolution of the closest neighbourhood's average displacements in the selected focal points of shear strain localisation (Fig.10).The figures illustrate the kinematic complexity of shear zones in granular materials, which can exhibit internal structure and consist of several segments of different types of motion.The dataset can be supplemented with digital photographs based on which the displacement fields analyzed in the article were obtained.
