资源简介:
Pier Gerlofs Donia or Great Pier was a 15th Century farmer from the Frisian town of Kimswerd. He became part of the folk army that was partly funded by the duke of Gelre. He died during battle and became a legend. Starting in the 19th century, this Grutte Pier history turned him into a Frisian folk hero. He had a sword more than two meters long he stole from a Saxon soldier. His sword became famous and has been in the collection of the Fries Museum in Leeuwarden since 1882. "Once and for all" is a television program about historical objects from Dutch History made by POSVIDEO/IDTV on behalf of Dutch Public Television. The second season will consist of six episodes and will be broadcast in fall 2022. Episodes focus on historic objects. One is dedicated to the Great Pier long sword and would include the neutron imaging analysis carried out on IMAT, to determine the sword authenticity.
