Pan-Arctic Sea Ice Drift Dataset at 400 m Resolution Derived from Sentinel-1 SAR (2017–2021)

This dataset presents a high-resolution (400 m) Pan-Arctic Sea Ice Drift (SID) product derived from Sentinel-1A/B Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery, covering the period from 2017 to 2021. The data was generated using a computer vision framework (SID-CV) that integrates feature tracking and pattern matching to extract drift vectors from sequential SAR image pairs with time intervals of 0–36 hours. The archive comprises over 350,000 products, averaging approximately 8,000 files per month. Each NetCDF file contains eastward and northward displacement components, comprehensive acquisition metadata, and quality flags based on internal self-evaluation metrics. This dataset is designed to facilitate high-resolution studies of sea ice export, deformation analysis, and numerical model validation.
