PLOWS: NOAA/NCEP RUC Northern Plains Model Forecast Imagery. Version 1.0

This data set contains the several forecast image products from the NOAA/NCEP RUC model over the northern plains of the US. The products include 250mb heights/wind, 500mb heights/vorticity, 500mb heights/wind, 700 mb heights/humidity/streamlines, 700mb heights/vertical velocity, 850mb heights/temperature/wind, surface winds/temperature/MSLP, convective precipitation, and large scale precipitation. The products are available every hour out to the 3 hour forecast and then every three hours to the 12 hour forecast. The images were created by the College of Dupage. This data set contains imagery from the two PLOWS field phases, 9 February to 30 March 2009 and 20 October 2009 to 10 March 2010. No imagery are available for the period between the field phases.
