Mutagenic agents alter the DNA sequence in characteristic ways, which can be represented as compound-specific mutational signatures. This project aims to identify the mutation patterns induced by ethanol and acetaldehyde, using error-corrected whole genome sequencing of rat tumors derived from ethanol/acetaldehyde long-term exposures.
