2009年6月-2010年4月中国西南地区发生持续性干旱。2009-2010年中国西南地区干旱程度及其对植被影响数据集的研发是首先应用标准化降水蒸散发指数(SPEI)识别出干旱事件,运用阈值划分干旱程度,同时计算干旱严重性指数;然后运用对应月份的多年平均(2001-2015年)的植被叶面积指数(LAI)、光合有效辐射吸收比例(FPAR),计算出LAI和FPAR的距平,以定量植被受干旱影响的程度,最终得到该数据集。该数据集包括:(1)研究区域即中国西南地区界线地理信息系统数据;(2)基于SPEI的中国西南地区2009年6月-2010年4月干旱严重性指数数据;(3)中国西南地区2009年6月-2010年4月每月的干旱程度数据;(4)2009年6月-2010年4月中国西南地区叶面积指数的月距平数据和距平累加值数据;(5)2009年6月-2010年4月中国西南地区光合有效辐射吸收比例的月距平数据和距平累加值数据。数据结果表明,2009年6月-2010年4月中国西南地区干旱期间,LAI和FPAR的距平小于0的区域通常是干旱程度严重的区域;相对于林地,草地的LAI距平和FAPAR距平更小,说明了草地植被类型对干旱的响应更为强烈。该数据集存储为.tif和.shp格式,空间分辨率为0.01°(约1 km),数据量为265MB(压缩为81.9MB)。
A persistent drought occurred in Southwest China from June 2009 to April 2010. This dataset documenting drought severity in Southwest China during 2009–2010 and its impacts on vegetation was developed through the following procedures: First, the Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI) was utilized to identify drought events, classify drought severity using thresholds, and calculate the drought severity index. Then, the multi-year average (2001–2015) Vegetation Leaf Area Index (LAI) and Fraction of Absorbed Photosynthetically Active Radiation (FPAR) for corresponding months were adopted to compute the anomalies of LAI and FPAR, so as to quantitatively assess the degree of vegetation affected by drought, and finally this dataset was constructed.
This dataset includes: (1) Geographic Information System (GIS) data of the boundary of the study area, i.e., Southwest China; (2) Drought severity index data of Southwest China from June 2009 to April 2010 based on SPEI; (3) Monthly drought severity data of Southwest China from June 2009 to April 2010; (4) Monthly anomaly data and cumulative anomaly data of Leaf Area Index in Southwest China from June 2009 to April 2010; (5) Monthly anomaly data and cumulative anomaly data of Fraction of Absorbed Photosynthetically Active Radiation in Southwest China from June 2009 to April 2010.
Data results indicate that during the drought period in Southwest China from June 2009 to April 2010, areas where LAI and FPAR anomalies were less than 0 generally corresponded to regions with severe drought; compared with woodland, the LAI and FPAR anomalies of grassland were smaller, suggesting that grassland vegetation types respond more strongly to drought.
This dataset is stored in .tif and .shp formats, with a spatial resolution of 0.01° (approximately 1 km), and the total data volume is 265 MB (compressed to 81.9 MB).
