This data release contains processed, high-resolution multichannel seismic (MCS) reflection data collected in 2014 to explore marine geologic hazards offshore of southern California. Specific targets include the San Clemente, Catalina, and Catalina Ridge faults in the Catalina Basin, and a submarine landslide complex in the Santa Cruz Basin. The survey took place in the Catalina and Santa Cruz Basins, south of the southern California Channel Islands between Santa Catalina Island and San Clemente Island, California. The data were collected aboard the Scripps Institution of Oceanography R/V Robert Gordon Sproul. The seismic-reflection data were acquired using a SIG 2mille minisparker and a 48-channel Geometrics GeoEel digital streamer. Subbottom acoustic penetration spanned up to several hundred meters, variable by location. This data release contains processed digital SEG-Y.
