The Yale Face Database is a facial dataset primarily designed for facial recognition. It includes 15 subjects, with 11 images per subject, amounting to a total of 165 grayscale images in GIF format. The images for each subject cover diverse facial expressions and lighting conditions: center lighting, with eyeglasses, happy, left lighting, without eyeglasses, normal, right lighting, sad, sleepy, surprised, and blinking. This dataset was released by Yale University in 2001.
