This dataset consists of 14,511 English handwritten text samples. The text is written on various carriers including A4 paper, ruled paper, English writing paper, and other common stationery. All samples were collected using mobile phones with an eye-level shooting perspective. The dataset covers diverse domains such as English compositions, poems, prose, news articles, and stories. For annotation, it provides quadrilateral bounding boxes for line-level text and corresponding line-level text transcriptions. This dataset can be used for English handwritten text OCR tasks.
