These are returns of monies received on behalf of the government by the various collectors of revenue. Statements on the following subjects (covering various periods) are included: spirits distilled in New South Wales by Robert Cooper; monies received by the Surveyor General for town grants; account of the Registrar of the Supreme Court; fees received by the Principal Clerk of the Police Office and their appropriation; fines and fees received Windsor Police Office including disbursements; fines awarded to the poor at Windsor; fees received for slaughtering cattle and cart licences; powder imported into Sydney; fines, fees and contingent expenses, Bringelly Police Office; fines and fees received by the various Benches of Magistrates and percentage paid to reward informers etc.; Commandant's Office Fund, Newcastle; licence fees - retailing of spirits, malt liquors etc., hire of convict mechanics, rent of tolls; monies received by the Colonial Secretary (marriage and distillation licences, manuscript of deeds), Surveyor General, Sheriff, Supreme Court Office, Master Attendant, Harbour Master, Engineer's Department, Postmaster, Registrar, Master in Chancery and Registrar of Court of Requests; barrack damages and charges made to the troops for articles lost or damaged by neglect; and account of gunpowder belonging to private individuals received into and issued out of Powder Magazines, Sydney; Customs; sums paid in aid of the Public Service; duties; contingent receipts (wharfage, entrance and clearance fees, lighthouse dues, registers, sale of cedar, permits for removing spirits); rent of pews in St James, Sydney, and Bathurst church; postages; permits for removal of spirits distilled at the Brisbane Distillery; and spirits distilled in New South Wales.1826-30, 1833-35 (2/849A-B, 2/820, 2/824, 2/830). 5 vols.
