Ocean current measurements inside the Anholt Offshore Wind Farm (Kattegat, Denmark)
收藏资源简介:
Study area, survey design and sampling techniques Measurements were conducted within the Anholt offshore wind farm (OWF) in the Kattegat, Denmark, which comprises 111 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 400 MW. The site is characterized by predominantly northward currents, with maximum speeds of approximately 0.4 m/s and relatively weak tidal currents. Two acoustic Doppler current profilers (ADCPs) were deployed upstream and downstream of a single monopile to measure vertical profiles of currents over a period of nine days, from 19 to 28 August 2024. Deployment locations were selected to minimize interference from neighboring structures while complying with the required 200 m safety distance from submarine cables. The upstream station, equipped with a Nortek ECO ADCP, was located approximately 400 m from the nearest monopile. At the downstream station, located approximately 200 m away from the monopile, an upward-facing 1 MHz Nortek Aquadopp ADCP mounted in a bottom frame at 17 m depth was deployed to provide high-resolution current profiles downstream of the monopile. A more detailed description of the study area, sampling techniques and post-processing of the ADCP data is described in Mohn et al. (2025). The key attributes of the data set provided here is described in the table below.
