LiDAR and anemometer deployment in Satellite Beach, FL, November 2023 - March 2024

LiDAR and anemometer data collection period from 8 November 2023 - 14 March 2024 at a residential test site in Satellite Beach, Florida (Latitude 28.175748°, Longitude -80.593326°). A Florida Tech Wireless Sensor Network System (WSNS) anemometer (RM Young model 01503V) was mounted on a mast (5.8 m AGL) along the east roof gable, data were recorded at 1 Hz. The FIT LiDAR wind profiler (ZephIR 300) was placed in a secured residential backyard ~ 50 m across the street, sampling at 11 heights between 11 m and 300 m AGL (measurement levels, m AGL: 11, 25, 39, 50, 60, 90, 110, 160, 210, 250, 300). A full volume scan is completed approximately every 20 seconds. Additional meteorological data (ambient air temperature, relative humidity, and barometric pressure) were collected from an independent Airmar meteorological station on top of the LiDAR at 1 m AGL.
